Enter the Dragon - Chinese New Year Eve

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
Hohoho very paiseh for the late blog post, but at least today is still CNY right? :)

2 weeks ago we finally can celebrate CNY 3 years after my grandfather passed away...
Miss u a lot ah gong... >.<

So after eating Reunion Dinner at home with my dad, mum and 2 brothers, we went to our grandmother's house around 9pm and get ready to 拜天宫, which is an usual prayer ceremony to the Gods that we will perform during the eve of CNY and the 8th day of CNY (for Hokkien's CNY)...

Getting ready to offer prayers to 天宫!:)

My dad preparing to lid up the red fire crackers!
LOL my dad is so happy here... :D

 Opposite neighbor's burning fire crackers...

 Woohooooooo!!!

Our turn to lid the fire crackers! :)))

 Humongous fireworks at that night!
The fireworks can be seen continuously for around 2 hours.
Tangkak people are rich you know? :P

The decorations for the kampung street at night.

Everyone went back to Tangkak except my cousins Win Nie and her family...
Haha it's ok lar since they went back to my grandmother's house during the 1st day of CNY.
We had lots of fun gossiping though. Hiak hiak.

I prefer the days before CNY.
The preparation, the house cleaning, and the CNY shopping are fun.
And hinting my parents to give big ang pows too. :D

Mandarin oranges and Shandy are my favorite snacks during CNY.
So don't blame me if i gain weight ok, once in a year ma. HAHA.

OK gonna post another blog post soon. Stay tuned. :)

The Viral Factor ✲ Review ✲

Hola pink friends! HAPPY CHINESE DRAGON NEW YEAR! :)))
HOLY MAMA i am super busy since the last blog post i posted, i don't even have the time to go to the toilet because of the humongous loads of assignments and projects to finish up...Thank goodness i finished my assignments and projects for 4 subjects, left 1 more to go... =.= I will do the rest tomorrow, paiseh i am a typical procrastinator... :P

The reason i blogged today is 3 days ago i watched a " watch-for-the-sake-of-Jay Chou-and-shout-when-i-see-him" movie..Yup he acted in a new Chinese movie known as THE VIRAL FACTOR (逆战)!!! 逆战 sounds so mysterious and cool..not a bad name for a movie... :)

Well he is not the only reason that i watched that movie, of course, my first lover Nicholas Tse is in this movie too!!! Buay paiseh la me... :P
For your info Nicholas Tse is my first Chinese Idol when i was 12 years old after i listened to his famous debut song <谢谢你的爱1999>. He is still hot after 12 years. >w<
And do you notice the tattoo on Nicholas' right arm? Love it to the max. He become even cooler and the tattoo matches his bad boy face...Very suitable appearance for a bad character for him in the movie.

Imagine 2 of the hottest male stars in Asia work hand-in-hand in a biological weapon themed movie..It is really a new challenge especially to my beloved Jay Chou as he always act in cool-cool movies like Initial-D, The Secret That Cannot Be Told and Green Hornet..Why i called these movies as cool-cool movies? Cos Jay Chou's face was too stone cold, ya his face is too cold until explode, almost poker face from the start till the end of the movie, and i can't feel much of his emotions that he is trying to portray through his facial expressions..Sorry to say this but his acting skills at the beginning was not very good..BUT STILL, I LOVE HIM. HAHA. Well at least the stone cold expression of him is his gold trademark, where girls go "OH MY GOD HE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HANDSOME!!!" or "WALAO 帅到爆!!!" over that poker face..He's the only one that can show the 欠打 face and YET, all the girls still shouts and gets super crazy over him!!!

Proud of your 欠打 face Jay Chou. XD

I still remember his crying scene in Initial D, when he cries i only can see water flowing out from his eyes, yeah purely a big amount of water oozing out from his eyes and his eyes and face are not red at all..That, was so hilarious. LOL i keep on laughing and i don't know why i can't stop laughing. I cannot tahan his acting lar and i feel like slapping him and made him cry FOR REAL. But in THE VIRAL FACTOR, he improved a lot. Yes, way much better compared to the last few films that he acted. And i think it is a great advantage for him as he is not required to speak so much of English.

THANK GOD.

LOL even though i'm his No. 1 fan but i still tahan him when he speaks English in front of the camera. Trust me, when you listen to him speaking English, you will feel like slapping him too. LOL
I watched him being interviewed by the media in Hollywood, and i OMG during the whole interview. Even i also can not understand a single word he utters! You know la, he used to rap so much that sometimes when he didn't pronounce his words clearly even in front of the camera. Just wanna clarify here that i just write how i feel and criticize him doesn't mean i am good in acting or what. By the way i'm still his super No. 1 fan and of course, i hope he improves in every movie that he acted in. :)))

He acted as a younger brother to Nicholas Tse in this movie and i think he played a good part. He also played very well as a filial son to his mother that was separated from his father. That part made me cried in the very end. It's was touching to see how he's trying to emphasize the importance of family. T^T I think he did his homework by understanding the character well. You are the man Jay Chou! <3

This movie's story line is good. Not so boring and the actions are exciting. Yeah the actions are very very very good (for a Chinese movie)! I didn't expect the fighting scene between the police and the bad guys are so exciting! Way to go Dante Lam! :D

The movie is mostly taken in Malaysia, YES MALAYSIA. LOL suddenly i feel so proud of Malaysia! :D
Many action scenes are taken in Kuala Lumpur and i think Dante Lam is a good director because the way he films the movie in Malaysia makes you think that the movie is taken in Hong Kong. I can tell you the angles, the vehicles (especially the Malaysian cars), the venue (highways and streets in Malaysia) and the acting skills of the actors make the movie a must-watch movie. For us as Malaysians, watching this movie is every entertaining cos we can identify the places in the movie! And i kept on smiling when i watch the movie..LOL imagine Nicholas Tse driving Perodua Myvi..so cute and funny right?? Hahahahahaha... :D

Talking about Nicholas Tse, his acting skills improve a lot starting from the movie Bodyguards and Assassins..In THE VIRAL FACTOR, i was very impressed. He is a bad ass criminal and yet, he is a good son and a father. I think playing this role fully is very difficult as this character is very complicated.

But, Nicholas Tse did it. :)

I'm not going to talk more about the movie anymore, what's the point of watching the movie if there is no suspense right? I can only say that THE VIRAL FACTOR is a must-watch movie. For those who super like Jay Chou and Nicholas Tse like me must go and watch it! You will enjoy the movie from the start till the end.

The movie is still in cinemas in Malaysia so go and get the tickets and watch it!

LONG LIVE JAY CHOU AND NICHOLAS TSE!!! Hahahahahhhaha... >w<

Hope you all enjoy the movie! :)

Makeover 2012

TADA!!! I'm back with my still-the-same body with a new look.
OH GOSH i feel bad cos i just dyed my hair one month ago and i changed my hairstyle last weekend. >.<

I planned to go to Queensbay Mall PURELY for shopping and yeah, i never thought of changing my hairstyle.
I just wanted to cut off those spoil hair ends that are annoying.
Just an invitation to go to the salon together and my friend Le Na said something that changed my mind.

"You said you will curl your hair one year ago and until now you didn't do it also..."
LOL she said it with her cute voice. A cute and innocent tone. =.=
PLUS my birthday is on the next 2 days, changing a new hairstyle is the perfect timing now.
Don't forget, Chinese New Year is coming too! *EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES*

OK THAT'S IT. CURL MY HAIR I SHALL.

No more procrastination, no more 2nd thought.
OMG that time i was so determined and i forgot my main purpose to go to the salon.
Someone please hit my head. =.=

With encouragement by Yik Ming and Hooi Thang *non-stop encouragement*, i finally went to the salon and get the job done.

Hey i was so depressed last week ok... =.=
I got tonnes of assignments to do and millions of books to study, and my stress level increases every single second.
And i received a freaking shocking story from a friend of mine that made me WTF.
(Hot stories will be published next time, please be patient ya)
Getting my hair curls also made me worry. What the hell.
I stared into the mirror for so long that night before going to the salon like i was going to be bald the next day. I think girls should understand how i felt that night, or is it myself? = - =
Remember i mention that a hairstylist told that i am not suitable with curly hair?
That made me worry like shit. LOL
My very good housemate even told me not to worry cos i am gonna look older after this.
I hate you lar Li Herng!!!!!!!!!!! =.=
That doesn't help at all!!!!!!!!!!!
I even nearly attempted to cancel the appointment with the director of the salon.

Guys, this is what we girls called self conflict. Determined to changed but scared to accept changes.
Get used to it. :P

So we went to Prangin Mall in Penang Island early in the morning.
We are so excited chatting about Wang LeeHom until i got lost in the city.
Traffic jam made it worst.
We were late but Thank God the director was nice, she didn't show f*ck face even though she waited for me for so long. Good good.  Made me so paiseh when i arrived at her salon.

The salon i went this time is Essentials Hair Salon.
Ji Wi recommended this salon to me as he always visit the salon for a haircut.
I went twice to this salon last year before the singing competition at Ipoh.
The director is good at suggesting good hairstyles AND doing her job.
Impressive hair work and of course, she knows what she is doing.

She explained the new hairstyle to me based on a Japanese hair book.
Yeah i was sooooooooooooooooooo excited. Haha.
I wanted to get a Japanese curled hairstyle for God-knows-how-long and i'm doing it now!
I tried not to say NO to my new hairstyle. Haha of course i'm still scared la!
What if it doesn't suit me? What if i look damn old with it?
Haiya, just do it la.
人生有几多个十年哦...
If i don't do it now, i will never know how i look like with curls.

The hairstylists dyed my hair with copper color.
The director said that curls with dark color hair tends to make faces look older.
She even told me that my hair had 3 shades of color: orange, brown and black. 0.0
LOL that's the consequences dying my own hair. Nothing beats the hair color done by the salon.
Seriously.
In fact, i look fairer with the new hair color! :3

When the digital hair perm finished, i stared into the mirror and I ALMOST SHOCKED TO DEATH.
WHO'S THAT FREAKING AUNTIE IN FRONT OF ME?
Holy mama i look older than my mum. OMG. The curls are so small and i looked damn old.
I was freaked out until the director calm me down. Forgive my extreme response.
I was told that my hair is wet and my curled hair is not done yet. Wet curls are smaller and way much uglier.
Thank God. If not is not worth it to pay RM300+ and look like an auntie.

Results after the complete hairdo.

One word. Satisfied.
Ok VERY satisfied.
The hairstyle turned out to be much more better than i expected.
I really thought i would become an auntie after curling my hair.
But i am very happy to change my hairstyle! :D
Happy Birthday to myself! XDDD

The picture below shows my true hair color, maybe of the lighting ba.
Self cam on my entire new look.

Gotta be more hardworking on dressing myself up before going out.
世上没有丑的女人,只有懒的女人.
Yeah, that includes my make up too.
SAY NO TO MY LAZINESS FOR THIS YEAR. LOL

Hope my new hairstyle change the way i look.
Happy with my new hairstyle though. >w<

More blog posts coming up and cheers! :)))

*Don't hesitate to leave your comments here! Don't worry, i won't bite your heads off. =w=*

The Year of the Dragon is coming!!!

I just sent my younger brother, Melvin to the bus stop just now, started to miss this big fella already... :(
That's why i am free now, temporarily. LOL
With him staying or sleeping in my room i can not blog peacefully cos he kept talking to me about his GUNDAM (he is an otaku that super love GUNDAM), so now i got the chance to blog!
But we had a good time together for the past 4 days though! :D

Yesterday i planned to bring him to go to Autocity at Butterworth to go shopping, and we found out that we got nothing to buy there.
Going to Autocity is boring if you have nothing to buy. Yeah i will spent money like nobody's business if i go there again, no more money to spend when i'm going to Hong Kong on March.
So we went to Econsave to shop for midnight snacks instead...haha!
Sorry we really couldn't resist it as we are still hungry even though we went to eat Tom Yam Porridge one hour ago.
Haha what to expect from pigs like us? XD

Woohooooo 2 more weeks to go before Chinese New Year!!!
I don't know why i'm super hyper today after listening to Chinese New Year songs this morning.
AND I SHED TEARS.
LOL maybe i'm too touched gua. Don't ask me, i don't know why i cried, even me myself also don't know the reasons for it. =.=

This year's MY Astro new Chinese New Year songs are damn nice!
The 1st song is 开心乐龙龙.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQBPTpT6wjA

The 2nd song is 开心过年.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et8GJ8mp6Vc

The 1st song made me shed tears. HAHA maybe too touched liao la!
The MY Astro crew always produce nice Chinese New Year songs every year and this time they went to all the states in Malaysia to shoot this MV...
The MV is AWESOME.
There are a few mistakes in the MV and synchronization is not very good, but what do you expect when there are hundreds of people from different age group dance together?
Good job MY Astro!!! :)))

The best part is the cute dragon mascot 乐龙龙, he is way too 可爱!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one of the cute mascot made by Malaysians that i have seen so far!
I noticed 乐龙龙 toy in the MV!
I also want to buy the 乐龙龙 toy!!! Anyone who knows where to get the toy please let me know ya! >.<

Haha ok la i need to clean up my room for Chinese New Year...
And if got extra time, CNY SHOPPING!!! XD

Are you ready for Chinese New Year? :)

The Spectacle Frames Invasion

Happy New Year 2011 my dear friends! :)

Haha today i gonna tell u a story regarding the invasion of spectacle frames in Malaysia.

Sounds lame? Haha don't worry folks this blog is specially for those who wants reviews on spectacle frames.

Yeah, i know these spectacle frames are useless.
I bet most of the guys must be thinking " Why these girls wear those stupid idiotic frames when they have perfect eye sights? " when they are seeing girls wearing spectacles without lens, am i right?
That, my friend, means that they are NOT fashion, YES NOT FASHION ENOUGH, just like what Miss Lin always tell us.

Here's a short history about spectacle frames.

Yeah i agree on the retired-guy-on-a-boat glasses, the design will never ever go outdated. LOL

As you can see, almost everyone in the entertainment industries are wearing these so called fake glasses or spectacles in any outing events, even in award ceremonies!

Celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, Fan Bing Bing, Mickey from TBSK and many other celebrities, no matter from Western or Eastern countries, wears spectacle frames almost everytime, everywhere.

WHY? Because it is now a trend. It's just that simple.

Even SpongeBob wears it.

Haha now he looks more fashion! XD

So i gonna share some of my opinions on which type of spectacle frames i prefer to wear.

FYI, i bought thousands of spectacle frames, accidentally. LOL
Because they are too awesome!!! TwT

Since then, i have been collecting spectacle frames.
Some of my friends laugh their heads off because they think it is silly, but who cares, i wear it because i look sexy when i wear it. HOHOHO *pls bear with my craziness until the end*

I bought 4 spectacle frames from Mooie Optical via Facebook.
Li Herng introduce me this awesome online optical shop as they also provide good coated lenses with these spectacle frames, and most importantly, at a reasonable price!
The best part is they are selling many variety of spectacle frames that cannot be found in any other places.

Trust me, i have been searching for good-looking and high quality spectacle frames since long time ago and i found my ideal designs at the online shop.
Plus, the owner of the shop is very responsible and nice! :)))

These are the spectacle frames that i bought from Mooie Optical.

4 different styles of spectacle frames.

This is me before without the spectacles.

Yup, i look like a good girl. LOL

If you notice, i have big cheek bones which make my face look big and wide.
Usually if i have a bad hair day which my hair couldn't cover up the sides of my face OR i have terrible black eye circles after wearing my contact lenses, i will wear one of my spectacle frames when i go out.
The spectacle frames really mask the black eye circles effectively!

1st Style : The Sexy Leopard

I SUPER DUPER LOVE THIS SPECTACLE FRAME.

It looks fashion, it fits with my facial form and it is comfortable to wear!
I really feel like wearing it everyday, i even thought of making power lenses for this spectacle so i can wear it everytime! <3

Pros : It gives a vintage look and the leopard pattern makes it match with any clothing!
Cons : It's a bit too big and the upper rim of the spectacle frame sometimes covers my vision. =.=

2nd Style : The Black and Red Office Style

This is more of a descent square spectacle frames.
I like it because of it's nice square pattern and the color contrast is perfect.
There are many other colors that are available but so far this color attracts me the most. :)))

This is one of my favorite in my collection.
Pros : The size is JUST NICE. Suitable to wear it in any occasion. And it really gives a descent look. :D
Cons : Since the color is black and red, i only can wear it when i wear clothes which their colors can match with the spectacle frame.

3rd Style : The Nerd

This style is the most common style. I bought this spectacle frame because it is HOT ITEM among Taiwanese and Malaysian girls. :3

The innocent look. :p
LOL what is this la...

Please forgive this fat face of mine.

Hmmm ok ok la. Not as nice as i expected. But it is still acceptable. =w=
Pros : Universal spectacle frame. Suits anybody with any facial form.
Cons : Both sides of the spectacle frames are thin and it doesn't makes the face look small. It looks good with front view but it doesn't look good on the side view.

4th Style : Barbie Style

Haha this is my 1st and the most funky spectacle frame in my collection!
I super love pink and after a long time consideration, i bought this cutie at last!

HUH??

Fierce look. =.=

The pink color spectacle frame is not bad and it gives a pretty funky look.
Pros : Good for those who loves pink like me! Nice and fashionable! <3
Cons : Same as the black and red spectacle frame, this cutie has to match with the clothing that i am wearing. So it is very hard for me to wear it most of the time because it doesn't match my attire.

For those who are interested in these spectacles, you all can have a look at Mooie Optical Online Shop that i had mention earlier.   :)
http://www.facebook.com/mooieoptical

Okay that's all folks! Remember no matter which style of spectacle frames you are wearing, wear it to show out your own style. :)
Hope you all enjoy it!
Good luck in trying those spectacle frames in this new year! :)))

♕ PIDC Night 2011 - A Red Carpet Affair ♕

Holaaaaaaaaaaaaa peeps!

It's been 2 weeks since the last time i blog...and finally PIDC Night 2011 is over and i finished my Malaysian Studies last week!!! WOOHOOOOOO~~~

I had flu when i sat the Malaysian Studies Final Exams and i had a terrible time. The examiner saw me sniffing so badly with tonnes of tissue papers on the table, and adjust the air conditioner temperature.

HE DECREASED THE ROOM TEMPERATURE.

OMG my flu became worst and i sneezed even more in the exam hall. VERY ZHA DAO LO.
Thank goodness i managed to finish the paper in time with one hand pressing my nose. It was horrible as i could not focus in the exam. Curse u flu!!!!!!!!!!! >.<

For PIDC Night 2011, we had an awesome night at Eastern & Oriental Hotel in Penang Island.

Ya it was the same hotel we went for last year's PIDC Night. But this year the event was much more different.

We have a whole different dinner menu (the dinner was better than i expected), we have a photo booth just beside the hall entrance with an awesome Hollywood-inspired background, a beautifully decorated stage and we have many awesome performances this year!!!
Plus the theme for the night was fantastic ---------- > A Red Carpet Affair~!
Everyone look like a star that very night!

6th Batch Juniors, WELL DONE! :D

And guess what, S.Y.N performed 2 songs that very night too!

Haha S.Y.N is me and Ji Wi! XD
To cut the story short, S.Y.N is a duet group formed by Ji Wi and me during the KBOX KKING 2011 singing competition held in Ipoh this year. I'll blog about S.Y.N soon or later! :p
And we are being invited by the organizing committee to perform 2 songs at PIDC Night. :)))
We sang "Lucky" by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat and "Count On Me" by Bruno Mars...

Now Snapped Pictures for the night! :p

Jiwi and me behind the stage.
